Pharmacy Residency
Information For Applicants
Application Process
The residency program director (RPD) and the residency advisory committee (RAC) will evaluate the qualifications of applicants to the pharmacy residency through a documented formal procedure based on predetermined criteria.
The top 16 ranking applicants will be invited to participate in an online interview. Prior to starting the interview process, each applicant will return a signed letter indicating acceptance of the terms of the residency program as stated in the Program Syllabus, including policies for professional, family, and sick leave and the consequences of any such leave on the resident’s ability to complete the residency program, as well as dismissal from the residency program.
Applications for the 2023-2024 residency class will be accepted beginning in the fall of 2023 using PhORCAS. All applicants must register for The Match-ASHP Resident Matching Program AND submit an application through the PhORCAS website.
Application Requirements
Interested applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy, a California Pharmacy Intern license, and be eligible to obtain California pharmacist licensure within the first 90 days of the residency. In addition, they must submit standardized application materials through PhORCAS including official academic transcripts, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a letter of intent stating professional goals and interests.
The deadline for applications is January 2nd.
